MEET THE TEAM

David had been working in publishing for 10+ years when he saw a need for a new streamlined approach to revenue. He was introduced to Chris Stark and Freestar was born. He now spends most of his time talking passionately to new partners about our product suite. David grew up outside Philadelphia and spends his free time playing with his dog Philly, hiking, and praying for an Eagles Super Bowl.

Chris has spent nearly a decade in online publishing working with countless digital properties to increase revenue through emerging technologies. At Freestar he leads the development and implementation of our proprietary product suite, with a crucial role that spans engineering, publisher development and industry-leading innovation.

Andy leads the development of Freestar’s various advertising products and technologies, and oversees the onboarding, implementation and optimization needed for our partners to achieve maximum results. When he’s not working you may find him rooting for the Green Bay Packers or taking charge of the BBQ

Chip manages Freestar's accounting and finance operations. He has years of finance, accounting, and business development leadership with Intel Capital, SheKnows Media, and Charles Schwab. Chip enjoys scuba diving with his wife, playing guitar, and supporting his kids in varsity football and youth theatre.

Peter develops data-based strategies to understand audience behavior, optimize content, and increase revenue for our partners through proprietary insights. When not working, he's usually listening to jazz or heavy metal, or spending time outdoors with his three children.

Jen leads the company’s marketing and communication efforts. She has extensive experience working for major online publishers like DailyMail.com and NYTimes.com, and is particularly passionate about start-ups and the power of great branding. She’s an avid world traveler and lives in New York City with her rescue mutt, Janis Joplin.

As Director of Publisher Development, Gip researches, identifies and cultivates relationships with potential new partners, and ensures the onboarding process is seamless and efficient. When he’s not at work you may find him traveling, boating, taking photos or practicing yoga.

As Director of Marketing, Paige’s role encompasses pre and post-sale responsibilities. From industry analysis, partner outreach and content creation to campaign set-up and optimization, her focus is on providing excellent customer service and impressive results. She’s an Arizona native who’s now living and breathing all things New York City.

Megan is part of the Publisher Development team responsible for identifying partner prospects and conducting strategic outreach to generate leads. In her free time you can find her hanging out with her pleasantly plump cat, Chloe, or playing Sims.

As a member of the Publisher Development team, Kaydee is responsible for outreach designed to grow our partner portfolio and maintain existing relationships. When she’s not working, she’s likely busy being a foodie, going for a hike, or taking a road trip with her daughter

As a member of the Publisher Development team, Riley conducts outreach and research designed to grow our partner portfolio and gain industry insights. He’s originally from Connecticut where he was once a State Champion Cross Country runner.

David is responsible for ensuring that all Sales and Marketing efforts deliver the most valuable data into the backend system, and that every dollar spent on advertising delivers a positive return. He's a father of three, an avid mountain biker and backpacker, and a longtime Boy Scout leader.

Derek is responsible for creating Programmatic Guaranteed Deals and Private Marketplace Deals, and for actively conducting partner outreach to increase awareness of Freestar’s offerings. He’s been working in the programmatic space for 6 years, and in his free time he enjoys all things outdoors, including camping, mountain biking and off-roading in his jeep.

Derek Blashinsky

As a Software Engineer, Paul is responsible for building the applications and products that power Freestar’s advertising technology platforms. He’s also the author of The Lumen Programming Guide, a first-to-market book on the Lumen micro-framework, which is part of the Laravel PHP framework family. In his spare time he’s usually golfing, writing, or goofing around with wife and his three boys.

Ben leads our RTB Engineering and is responsible for building cutting-edge buying and selling platform features for our partners. He’s passionate about distributed software systems, and is also a drummer, a home improvement guru, a Seattle Mariners fan and a father of two.
